The Community Foundation’s annual Give For Good online fundraiser has gotten to be the single biggest source of money for the museum besides the many, many donations throughout the year from museum members and friends. May 2 will be the day for this year’s fundraiser if you wish to make a donation to a great cause! BUT, you can make your donation starting now if you want to. Just bring up the Give For Good website (giveforgoodnla.org), search for Shreveport Water Works Museum or McNeill Street Pumping Station Preservation Society and follow the directions. Early donations will be posted on May 2 and at that time you can begin following how things are going by bringing up the website. If you’ve been thinking about a donation to help out Shreveport Water Works Museum, now is a good time because the Community Foundation will contribute a partial match to Give For Good donations.
