Get Ready For May 2

Each year the Community Foundation hosts an old fashioned donate-a-thon called Give For Good with a new twist of being done totally online. On May 2 from midnight to midnight friends of McNeill Street Pumping Station Preservation Society (the nonprofit that supports the Shreveport Water Works Museum) can bring up the Give For Good website (we’ll post the correct address later) and make a donation to their favorite charity (this one!). After the day is all over, the Community Foundation will distribute the proceeds plus add a partial match to what we’ve received. In 2016 the Preservation Society got over $2000, including the match, from this fundraiser. Now that the Preservation Society is responsible for paying for operating the museum, we’re hoping for even better results this year. Remember: May 2!
